Nice picture on the contents page, but you might struggle to ghet readable text over it - maybe fade it back a little. You'll need more coverlines and some details like a barcode and price on the cover.
On the contents page pic - maybe make it an image in a box rather than a background. You really need to look at some existing mags to see howw they've done it.
